- The obsession of Miles with last words made me believe that a person's last words do have some kind of meaning. Alaska Young, always being moody, self-destructive, rebellious, reckless somehow finding distractions from her inner struggles & always looking for a way out of the labyrinth. Her death was tragic indeed. She left many mysteries behind.

- The love that Miles had for Alaska made it more worse for him to forget that he let her go alone that night, drunk & messed up. Alaska truly didn't find her way out of the labyrinth but she did write it 'Straight & fast'.
