Few words Will left for Louisa are enough for Lou to realize what Will always wanted for her.

Louisa is not able to just move forward, even joining the Moving On support group doesn't seem to help her much. Lou feels easy-to-understand when she meets Sam Fielding, who is a paramedic. The more Lou tries to move on, the worse it gets and then, all at once, she encounters the biggest truth of Will's past due to which she has to go back.
But as we all know what's meant to be will come our ways, same happens with Lou and her life takes an unbelievable turn.

She knows how to make her reader connect with the story and make them live it. The story is all about finding your first love and letting yourself get lost in the pleasure of being consumed by it. Rowell in an interview said "I've always, always wanted to write first love story. I feel like, when you're 16, you've the greatest ever capacity for romantic love.
