An Open Letter To All Teenagers Out There

Dear teenagers, What I am about to tell you guys is a bitter pill to swallow but is inevitable. You cannot run from it or hide from it so it's better that, when it comes, you're ready to welcome it with open arms and when it leaves; you get up, open the door, and wave it a warm, friendly goodbye. A time is coming really soon when you'll have to worry about a billion of things. When you'll feel tired, and exhausted all the time with out even having a busy or hectic day. You'll see sun rising and setting from your bedroom window whilst you wish to not to leave your room, or even your house for a very, very long time. You'll witness people leaving you for good, and new ones coming, but they too, for until you're of any use to them. There will be breakups, and distances building among your happiest of relations. Soon you'll start to worry about some stupid research paper and assignments. You'll be ditched, cheated, manipulated, and used by humans; ...

Some Times A Part of You Gets Shut Down

Some times, a part of you gets shut down, unannounced. You sit there thinking of what might be the cause; but sadly, suddenly everything around you, and within you, starts to feels like a terrible mess. You lose your appetite, your motivation to spend your day proactively. You sit at your lunch table; *swipe - phone unlocked* , there are texts from your friends, missed calls followed by emails from jobs you've applied for. A voice note in WhatsApp inbox; the voice sounds familiar, turns out that it's your editor asking you about when you're going to send the final draft of your book. You put your phone down and slide away your half eaten plate of biryani, something that you love and enjoy to eat, but you don't feel like eating anymore today. In silence, you hear the clock ticking, you see the light fading as the sun sets and you feel the darkness within is over powering you. Your brain isn't functioning and the heart urges you to play a sad song or two, maybe cry ...

Broken People

Broken people live on the edge, always ready to jump. They keep their eyes wide open continuously checking for warnings and alerts. They're the ones who cross check to see whether they can trust or not. They're just like scared kids who stay awake all night dreading monsters inside their bed. - Aasma Kamran

Thirteen Reasons Why - Book Review

Being a bookworm is something that I cannot give up at any cost. It’s a craze one cannot end. My life is all about going to a bookstore and coming out with loads of books and never feeling sorry for it cause this is what I was born to do LOL. So when I started to hear about a novel by Jay Asher which is based on a girl who committed suicide, to be honest, I was not impressed. I’m more of a romantic novel lover and I am not exactly into stuff like suicide and investigative stories, which I thought this novel was about. Few time later I heard there’s a TV series coming based on the novel “Thirteen Reasons Why” and I was curious, I wanted to know what’s so interesting about this book and so you might have just guessed what I did. Yes, I bought it. I cannot sum up the rush of emotions I felt while reading it and yes I totally remember that I said I was not impressed by the plot it was based on but to be very straight, sometimes I do judge a book by its name or cover, although this is ...

iPhone X Engineer Reportedly Fired By Apple After Viral Video Of His Daughter

Apple has fired one of his iPhone X engineers, Ken Bauer, after his daughter uploaded a video of her with the new iPhone X on her YouTube channel. Brooke Amelia Peterson said that she made that video while visiting her dad at Apple’s California Headquarters. Ms. Peterson took the video down after Apple asked her to do so. In later uploaded video she said that she doesn’t know why her video got so much attention when there are so many videos of iPhone X on YouTube from other you tubers . iPhone X will be available on November 3. In her video she said that no matter how responsible you are, if you break a rule, they just have no tolerance.  She added that her dad takes full responsibility for the one rule that he broke. “You know what guys? Hate on me all you want, but please don’t hate on my father, because he is the best person” Amelia added. So this whole scene is quiet disturbing, as we all can see there are many videos of iPhone X on YouTube already and then...

BECUTE Smooth Matte Mousse Foundation

Being a brown is like real struggle for many of us women. Half of the time we keep finding products to get fairer skin or remedies to even out our skin complexion, if not this, we keep changing products that we use in our daily make-up just to get the result that we desire. There's nothing to be ashamed of, if you want your skin to glow or your hairs to grow longer than they are. They are just your desires to look perfect, well obviously the 'perfect' we think is perfect. So like many of you I, myself, have been searching a product that can save me from my oily skin. I just wanted something, any foundation or base or like anything to get rid of the oil that my skin produces. Being a student of high school and spending whole day out in sun, especially in summers, is a nightmare obviously. I kept changing products and then one day I found this Smooth Matte Mousse Foundation (12 hours) by Becute and I swear its exactly what I was looking for. I applied it first day ...

VR Is Not Going to Disappear Anytime Soon, Here’s Why

Many people in tech community were concerned, after this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), that VR needs it’s killer app to exist any further or it will lose it’s charm and fade away. Ian Bell , CEO of Digital Trends , in a DigiDay article stated, “We see technologies that are always on the precipice, but if they don’t hurry and add intrinsic value, the consumer is going to move on. VR is in that space. People right now look at it and say it’s cool but it’s also kind of gimmicky. Unless someone steps up and makes VR relevant, people will move on.” Well, I don’t wholly agree that VR will “disappear” without killer app. But yes, it needs to improve for people to buy it on a large scale. For VR is itself a killer app and that it doesn’t need one in order to stand out. Why people are confused, is because they might not really get the difference between a medium and a feature. Since Oculus was founded, VR has already increased its user base every year. At least 4 or 5 years ...
